One Loud Secret Bio
Keep your ears and eyes open for this emerging band from Las Vegas. One Loud Secret smashes the concept that live music is dead for non-mainstream bands. Not an easy feat in Sin City, where it’s all about tits and casinos. The four friends arrived in the desert by chance, formed a band to see what kind of ear candy they could create, and brewed up something new to offer the world.
Hailing from both coasts, One Loud Secret is a hodgepodge group, all of them drummers. The boys, Jeremy, Andy, and Dave--on guitar, bass, and drums, respectively--call Virginia home, while the gal, Lei D., the singer for the band, has her roots in San Francisco. Jeremy and Lei D. met as co-performers in the internationally known show STOMP and forged a close friendship while touring around the Americas together. Now six years after meeting, they have formed the band One Loud Secret.
Already prolific in their first year together, “One Loud” has released a 7-track EP, with five more songs ready to be recorded, and have played countless shows in the Las Vegas area. From festivals to clubs and pubs, One Loud Secret has taken advantage of their brief time on this planet to find a nice balance between gigging, rehearsing, and writing. The band continually pushes themselves, without limits, evolving with the times. When asked to describe their sounds, the band will usually ask back "What do you think?" Their tunes are dynamic and hard to pin, however, they have heard their music variously compared to Red Hot Chili Peppers, Incubus, Flyleaf and No Doubt. Fans have also called it "New Wave Punk", but their favorite description thus far would have to be "a funky, girly, Led Zeppelin." The band itself has many influences. To name just a few? 311, Bjork, Fishbone, Prince and Beethoven.
